Hi Bakers!

We are approaching the halfway mark of summer, and I’ve been crossing things off my summer bucket - both activities and food. Do you have a seasonal bucket list for treats and recipes too? Or is it just me - trying to eat my weight in watermelon, juicy berries, fresh peaches, and all the cold desserts? After a quick trip to Montreal and several affogatos later, all the creamy, frozen coffee things sky-rocketed to the top of that list. 

While in Montreal, I went to Café Olympico, a family-run Italian cafe since 1970. The line up runs deep along the espresso bar, snaking by the bistro tables in the window and through the back. The line moves swiftly, providing customers with a quick glance at their classic pastries. There were giant glass jars full of biscotti and nutella horns, tiramisu, bomboloni, and mini cannolis in the cold case, and the most delicious marble ciambella tucked under glass cake domes.
